The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) organized on January 27 a meeting of coordinators of Dubai's hotels, hotel apartments and Dubai hotel suites to review the draft regulations for the upgraded classification system for hotels, hotel apartments and hotel suites in Dubai planned to be introduced later this year.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Eyad Ali Abdul Rahman, DTCM Executive Director Media Relations and Acting Director Business Development. Also present was Mr. Khalid bin Touq, DTCM Executive Director Licensing and Classification.
Mr. Eyad welcomed the gathering and expressed confidence that the new hotel, hotel apartment and hotel suites in Dubai classification system would be beneficial to the industry and will help take the service standards of Dubai's hospitality industry to newer heights.
Mr. Khalid bin Touq highlighted the salient features of the draft upgraded hote, hotel apartment, hotel suites in Dubai classification regulations.
Mr. Mohammed Al Geziry, Consultant, gave a presentation on the existing classification system and the proposed upgrades.
